Before joining CareATC, Dr. Cannizzo served as Medical Director at Mount Sinai Doctors Greenwich Street and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As Medical Director of Mount Sinai Doctors Greenwich Street, Dr. Cannizzo oversaw a busy and successful multi-specialty practice offering Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Gynecology, Orthopedics and Urology.
Prior to his tenure at Mount Sinai, Dr. Cannizzo spent 19 years in AIG’s Corporate Health Center. As Corporate Medical Director, Dr. Cannizzo led an on-site medical facility serving over 7,000 employees, and had oversight of all health-related matters for AIG globally. Dr. Cannizzo has expertise in preventive health, corporate health, wellness, travel medicine and primary care.
Dr. Cannizzo maintains academic affiliations with Weill Cornell Medical College, as Instructor in Medicine, and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, as a Voluntary Faculty member.
Dr. Cannizzo received his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Cornell University and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Cannizzo is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
